Founded by PADI Silver Course Director Stephen Domorod, nXt Scuba is built on nearly two decades of experience in diving, retail leadership, and professional instruction.

We’re more than a dive school—we’re a training collective dedicated to mentoring the next generation of divers and dive professionals. Whether you're taking your first breath underwater or stepping into leadership, our programs combine modern e-learning, immersive workshops, and personalized mentorship to build confident, capable, and conservation-minded divers.

Rooted in Southeastern Connecticut, nXt Scuba is driven by a love for exploration and a deep respect for the ocean. We proudly support the PADI AWARE Foundation, incorporating ocean conservation and marine protection into our training and community events. From Dive Against Debris cleanups to coral conservation workshops, we empower divers to make a real difference—above and below the surface.

Stephen Domorod
Founder & PADI Course Director
Stephen Domorod is the founder of nXt Scuba and a PADI Silver Course Director with nearly 20 years of dive instruction, retail leadership, and community-building experience. Known for his energetic teaching style and deep commitment to mentorship, Stephen has certified hundreds of divers and developed dozens of dive professionals throughout his career.

Before launching nXt Scuba, Stephen led the growth of a full-service dive center from a modest retail space into a multi-million-dollar training and equipment hub. His background in information security and systems management brings a forward-thinking edge to nXt Scuba’s e-learning and operational approach.

Stephen is a passionate advocate for marine conservation, actively supporting the PADI AWARE Foundation and leading local Dive Against Debris events. Whether guiding a new Open Water student or mentoring future instructors, he’s focused on one thing: helping every diver discover what’s next.
